Our walnut has been sourced from villages in Ladhiya valley of Champawat, Uttarakhand. Ladhiya river is a tributary of the mighty Sharda river, Ladhiya waters irrigate a large number of terraced fields located on its banks with its mineral rich waters.

Walnut has been harvested by members of our women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and marketed by our women’s cooperative. 

Walnut can be taken in different form viz. assnack or with salads, pastas, and breakfast cereals and with baked items. The best way is to soak the walnut in water, to rinse the tannin, before eating.

Soaked walnut gives soft and more buttery taste. Walnut is good for brain health and prevent heart disease and cancer. Raw walnuts are good source of anti-oxidants; omega 3 fatty acids etc. Walnuts consumption help in maintaining cholesterol level, blood pressure, decrease inflammation, promote healthy gut and reduce the risk of cancer etc.
